What Prescott has to offer the pets in your life

gemsm1.gifYour furry friends will love it here, but just be careful about leaving them outside untended, even in a fenced yard. Snakes, coyotes, mountain lions, javelinas and hawks coexist with us here, and sometimes they venture into neighborhoods and tangle (or worse) with pets.

We have lots of services to help your animal friends live the good life, right along with you:

  • One dog park (we could use more, though)
  • Numerous trails to hike on, but leash up your dog please. Stiff penalties and angry hikers may be the result if you let your dog walk untethered
  • Numerous vets and animal hospitals
  • Standard pet shops and pet supply shops
  • Dog obedience classes and trainers
  • Dog-friendly farmer’s market (see more on that here)
  • Several rescue and foster groups for pets
  • 2 private kennels and a number of dog walkers and in-home pet sitters (some of the animal hospitals will kennel your animals, too
  • If you are a horse person, wow do you have lots of wonderful places to ride!

  1. We’re thinking of relocating to Prescott. Are there any limits on domestic pets (cats/dogs)? All of our animals are indoor only, and all are spayed. Just want to make sure Prescott would welcome the entire family.
