Daily Courier Covers Kayaking

kayaker_seal_reallysmall.gifA few days ago, T.M. Shultz from the Daily Courier asked if she could interview me about kayaking for a regular piece she writes.

After some correspondence to work out details, we agreed to meet at Watson Lake for an interview and some photos.

Coincidentally, one of my sons is in town visiting, and he was able to come along. We got to the lake about a half an hour before T.M. and were paddling near the pier when she arrived.

In terms of “firsts,” this one is a keeper. Bobbing around in the lake with my son while a reporter stands on the pier asking questions is something I won’t soon forget!

Watch for the article in the Saturday, June 21 issue, under the title “How’d They Do That?”

Meanwhile, here is a picture of the Courier’s award-winning Photo Editor, Les Stukenberg, and one of my youngest on the water, taken earlier on this most beautiful day in June.

Before my recent overhaul and update to this site, I posted a few posts on kayaking on another blog I publish. Be sure to also check out:
