Some fun free stuff is on the horizon for local knitters, or those of you visiting Prescott during the spring and early summer.
March 20, come to Method Coffee on Willow Creek Road to knit with some local members of Prescott Knitters along with some members of the Tucson Knitting Guild who are heading here for knitting retreat over that weekend.
March 27, enjoy a free “Ravelry Moment” at A Good Yarn. Ravelry is the immensely popular and valuable worldwide online knitting community. Stop into A Good Yarn between 10:20 and 1:00 and look for me, and I’ll give you a little tour.
April 17, from 10 – 3, Judie, a local knitter who’s also a member of our local Ravelry “Prescott Knitters” group is hosting a Destashing Party at her home. If interested, join Ravelry and and then look up Judie there (she goes by “hudie” on Ravelry) or leave a comment here requesting details be emailed to you.
June 12 and 19: come to World Wide Knit in Public Day(s) at the Prescott Farmers Market. 7:30 – noon at Yavapai College’s Performing Arts parking area. Look for our booth, bring a chair and something to knit and let’s raise knitting awareness here in Prescott.
Ongoing: there are many places to meet with others throughout the week here in Prescott. First, check at our local yarn shops to see when they have Open Knit. Also, the Prescott Knitters Ravelry group meets around town. Here’s more on that.
